Arundel Fire Station
In October 2006 a fire raged in Arundel Fire Station that almost totally destroyed the building. Following a winter standing under a temporary scaffold roof the remaining structure was in a very 'sorry' condition.
Working together with local surveying practice UCL undertook the contract to rebuild and extend the Firestation. The brief was to match the existing building, rebuilt to the latest WSFRS technical requirements the opportunity taken to add a new Muster Bay WC and office accommodation. Complex systems of data communications were installed - even the engine bay doors open on an automatic fire call from the head quarters. Now a modern High tech station Arundel is once again the pride and joy of the retained fire fighters and station.
